Since almost four years, four Leonhart foosball tables were setup in the foyer of the Unipol in Dunedin. There, we regularly ran sessions of free practise and play as well as foosball tournaments. However, the University of Otago is reclaiming space in the Unipol’s foyer for a new Café. There is now very limited space for what can be setup in the foyer. We had been recently asked to find alternative locations to set up the foosball tables as there was the potential to setup one foosball table at the upper level of the Unipol.
Fortunately, the OUSA (Otago University Students’ Association) confirmed that they could make space for us to set up two foosball tables. Yesterday, we moved two tables from the Unipol to the OUSA Clubs & Societies Centre.
The new space for the tables is in the first level of the OUSA Clubs & Societies Centre opposite the staircase. We hope that in the new location, many students will have a go and play.
Until further notice, our regular free foosball play and practice sessions will be:
- on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30pm
- at the Otago Clubs & Societies Centre: 84 Albany Street, Dunedin North, Dunedin 9016
No experience is required, and all skill levels are welcome. Whether you are just starting out or you are looking to showcase your professional moves, we would love to see you there! Feel free to bring your family, friends and colleagues along. The more, the merrier!
